Personal impressions and brand information
Fragrance is personal. Articles should identify an author’s impressions as opinions and distinguish them from information supplied by a brand, including listed fragrance notes. We do not present a brand’s description as a wear test.
Any observations about longevity or projection should include relevant context where available, such as climate, application, and wear conditions. An experience on one person’s skin is not a promise about someone else’s.
Gifted products
When a product is provided without charge, that relationship will be disclosed on the article. Complimentary products do not guarantee coverage or a positive opinion.
Sponsored articles
Paid editorial relationships will be labeled on article cards and near the beginning of the article. Sponsorship does not guarantee a positive opinion. Multiple relationships, such as a sponsored feature about a gifted product, will be disclosed together.
Affiliate links
Some future articles may include affiliate links. If you purchase through one of these links, Her Scent Story may earn a commission. The article will explain this relationship before the commercial links. A normal link to a brand does not mean an affiliate partnership exists.
Our separate perfume business
This journal and the separate Her Scent Story perfume and body-care business share the same owner. Product inquiries and orders are handled through the business’s social channels. This website is dedicated to editorial content and does not take orders or process purchases.
When an article covers a fragrance HSS sells, the relevant retail interest should be disclosed near the beginning, even if no selling link is included. A product being discussed does not establish current stock or availability.

Research, references, and imagery
Researched profiles should be identified as researched content, with references for official fragrance information. They should not imply that the author has worn or tested a perfume. Firsthand observations should explain the relevant wear context when available.
AI-generated or illustrative images should be labeled clearly. They are not evidence of real stock, a customer delivery, or a personal wear test. Product photography should preserve the actual bottle, label, and packaging accurately.
Corrections and contact
Factual errors should be corrected, with an update date when an article is materially revised. Please include the article title, the passage in question, and a supporting source when requesting a correction.
